Coram Deo's outward mission is to be a sacred space in New York City where all manner and modes of worship take place. We hope to foster an ecosystem of Gospel-centered activity where any given week sees a multitude of ways for individuals and organizations to express their faith. Collectively, these gatherings represent a prophetic witness to the Lordship of Jesus in every sphere of life and the elimination of the sacred/secular divide.
The following is an overview of types of gatherings we expect to take place:
1. Large Group Gatherings. This could range from conferences, art exhibits, public lectures, and parties. We have outdoor spaces adjacent to our first floor gathering space and a roof deck with panoramic views of Manhattan's midtown skyline.
2. Small Group Meetings. Coram Deo has several library-style meeting rooms that can accommodate 10-30 people. These rooms are ideal for gatherings centered around a common area of interest: salons, scripture studies, industry-specific meet-ups, the Alpha course (introduction to the Christian faith).
3. Prayer and Ministry. One of the challenges of urban life is to step out of the seemingly never-ending stream of demands and reconnect with our Creator. In order to facilitate this, we are designating lower level at Coram Deo to be exclusively reserved for prayer and worship.
